Dominique, a seasoned French photographer with a 25-year career, brings a global perspective to his diverse lens. From his Los Angeles beginnings as a photographer's assistant to his current base in Singapore, his journey reflects a constant pursuit of capturing the essence of life.
Mentored by renowned photographers Roy Stuart (published by Taschen) and Yann Arthus-Bertrand (author of "The Earth from above"), Dominique's expertise spans a wide spectrum. As a freelance photographer, he has mastered the art of sports, portraits, corporate events, studio work, helicopter and drone aerials.
A testament to his passion for storytelling, Dominique actively participated in the UN-supported "7 Billion Others" project (2003-2007). This global initiative involved filming and interviewing 6,000 people from 84 different countries documenting their lives, families, and life lessons.
Entrepreneurial at heart, Dominique founded grainedephotographe.com in 2011. Today, this esteemed French photography school boasts 200 weekly students across 10 cities, guided by a team of 40 freelance photographers.
Further solidifying his commitment to the art form, Dominique opened a thriving Parisian photo gallery on Ile Saint Louis, providing a platform for amateur photographers.
As a licensed drone pilot from CAAS, Dominique's aerial photography capabilities are unmatched. His expertise in capturing professional drone shots of vessels has made him a sought-after collaborator for shipping companies, providing high-quality imagery for various purposes.
